OK guys I need of your assistance in trying to connect my apex to fusion . I cannot seem to connect it to my WiFi because my router is not in the same room . my displace says apexfusion: down I tried looking everywhere including apex forum but only found one thread on it and I did every step they used but mine does not connect . special thanks to @Diesel for always willing to help .

By for the easiest way is to hard wire it. That will allow updates as well. There is the whole, turn your router into expander deal...sorry can't recall the term, but I think you still need to hard wire for updates. Is there a reason you don't/can't hardwire?

There is a browse utility that works with Mac or Windows. You can try that to see if the browse software can find the apex. However, how do you connect the apex to the router if they are not near to each other? Wifi dongle device?

I have the same issue. I have a open basement ceiling so I can run a long Ethernet cable. Maybe if your basement isn't open you could hide it behind trim and drill through the walls or floor as need be.
In Houston we have no basements :(.
By al times you need to connect a bridge with a cat5 cable between the apex and router, that's how I have it setup and yet to make the connection through your IP at first you need the apex connected to the router.
Once you have that setup the bridge that is connected to your apex will communicate with your network router, I'm I right?

Can you connect to your Apex on port 80 on you local LAN wirelessly? If you can it's some other problem.

The built in web server runs on a default of port 80.

First things first, have you been able to connect the base unit directly to your home router via the RJ45 LAN connection?
By default MOST ISP router run an internal LAN (Local Area Network) with a 192.168.1.XXX sub-net, if this is a used unit you need to confirm that it's using the same (flat) network as you have internally and that it hasn't been setup for a 10.x.x.x address space. You also need to confirm the unit is set for DHCP (see definition below) and not a static as that will also cause issue with a used apex (the default is DHCP and not static).
DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. This is a method for automatically configuring TCP/IP network settings on computers, printers, and other network devices. Using DHCP, the computer user never has to make any TCP/IP settings.

I connected straight to the modem I had success connecting it but once I disconnected it and put it in my tank it went back to its original status . I have to say I'm getting to the point where it will be a target for my 357 . I guess the wifi on the system isn't working and apex .

I'm a little confused do you have a Wi-Fi device connected to the apex after you pull it off your "modem", that's the only way you're going to get onto the Internet, wifi is not built-in or supplied option...
You would need to add a gaming controller (under $30) and connect it to your Wi-Fi before you're able to connection out to fusion.

Yeah wait a second. There is no wifi built into the apex. You have to connect it to something. Best bet is to get the little netgear wifi bridge for like $30 on Amazon. That will connect to your wifi then you connect it to your apex.
Or rhey make really cool one rhat use your existing electrical wiring. Those work if the two plugs are on same circuit.
