Aptasia removal

Hiya guys, I have had a 15 gallon marine tank up and running for 3 months now.
Yesterday I saw a tiny wee aptasia anemone on the frag disk which my leather Coral is on. I instantly took it out and dipped the coral and disk in a coral dip solution (aqua forest protect dip) and tried to remove as much as possible with tweezers. Today I can still see aptasia on the disk. The leather is not looking happy at all and seems to even have algae starting to grow on the side of it.
How do I get rid of aptasia? I have heard that peppermint shrimp will eat aptasia so would they be a good option for a 15 gallon?

Current stock list:
-cleaner shrimp
-Randall’s pistol shrimp
-Yasha goby
-pink streaked wrasse
-sinularia leather (mentioned above)
-Duncan
-3 zoas
-fuzzy mushroom
-pulsing Xenia (isolated on rock)

All the other corals, fish and inverts are thriving and I have seen very good growth from my zoas, mushroom and Xenia. This makes me sure that it’s the aptasia that is the problem. I will attach a picture of the sinularia leather.
many tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

By the way I bought the leather coral over a month ago and it has been doing well until a couple weeks ago where it wouldn’t extend its polyps everyday and now it’s constantly closed.

For the aiptasia take gel superglue and put over it. If you only have a couple I find this the best solution. Peppermint shrimp are hit and miss. Mine wanted nothing to do with aiptasia, but loved to peel open the mouths of my acans to steal their food so personally I stay away.

I never thought of that! I will definitely try it because it is so small at the moment and I would easily be able to cover it with just a dab of glue.
Would my sinularia recover from this??
(Btw I’m sorting out the algae with trochus snails)
