@Randy Holmes-Farley and others, I did just figure out (maybe I am late to the party) that you do not need to control them via your cell phone APP. Once the lights are on your network and given a name, if you are on the local network you can simply type in HTTP://leftstraton (in my case) and the control interface comes up there. It is WAY easier to work with on a computer than the phone.

food for thought.

I am now going to reconfigure them to be controllable by segment and answer that question about whether spectrum or just output can be controlled by segment.
Thanks, this will be helpful. Assuming "leftstraton" is a name you assigned for it in the phone app?

That was good, have you compared the internal PAR readings to the actual PAR readings with a meter?
Under quick review they are pretty good. I think they said it is all calculated by the LEDs you are powering and the individual levels and temps. So a lot goes into the estimate.

VERY controllable. Each segment on left unit has different spectrum and power.
Whites - reds - royal blues - UVs

Lots of possibilities here.
Can you give some quick directions on how you did this?

One quick follow up question. Do the electronics in the light itself remember settings (time of day, led settings, etc.) when power is lost?

Under initial setup, select the option to control each module individually. Then put each "section" into its own group (foreground of this pic). I rather confusingly numbered the sections from left to right on my tank 1-8. If you click the little square beside each section it will blink live so you can see which section is which. Then, when you have created each section into a group, on the main screen that you can see in the background in this pic you an select each group to assign a schedule, power levels, and color.

Good luck, let me know if you need help!

Hello friends,

I'm thinking about setting up a new aquarium, I want this screen because of its silence.

I have thought about buying the model 102, to illuminate a 23 inch x 16 inch tank, is that tank too small?

Thanks for your answers, sorry for my English.

Anyone with some recent growth shots or comparisons with this light. Thinking about switching my Skys to 102s supplemented with Quanta bars (already own them).

Couple questions is there a way to turn off/on the lights from the app or would have to mess with the photoperiod schedule?
Within the pre-setting like SPS, Deep Sea, etc., is there a way to customize the presetting, for example add or reduce just white light?

I think one would be just fine for that size tank

I read that wrong the first time. I think you would be spilling light out of the tank. The 102 is actually pretty big.

The unit is 13" x 18" so it would be almost the entire size of the tank. You would have excellent coverage and no shadowing, there may be light spillage issues, but I dont know what the area around your tank looks like. good luck

I am not sure what you mean by turn the light on and off. I would just power it on and off with a controller if you want that, but I leave mine on all the time and turn colors/segments off using the photoperiod schedule. Anywhere a section is dragged to 0% it is off.

You can customize any of the presets and save them as something new.
