Hi guys, so anyone running an SPS tank with these lights for more then 2/3 months? What do you have to say about them and What was the previous lights you had? Tank already cycling and will need to buy light soon :p :D

Thank you!
I have 3 over a 5 ft tank running peak at 75%. Mostly high end sticks and they love the lights. I switched from 8 X 80 ATI Sunpower. Corals never blinked. I have an Apogee and PAR tested. Using LPS setting at 75% was equivalent. About 450 top of rock, 200 on the sand.

So you're using the LPS settings? How tall is your tank? Thank you!

Yes, that is one of the presets. It has a little more blue/purple than the SPS setting does, but plenty of PAR when cranked up to 75%.

22" tall. Light is hanging 9" off the water.

Wow great, Mine will be 20" tall so I can have a good idea of what Par I'll get. Did you post or have anywhere your PAR map? Would love to see that !

Thanks once again!

I did not post a map. I can say that unlike my other LEDs in the past, I did not see hotspots where the light cones overlap. Very smooth and linear readings vertically and laterally. I should say my Radions and my Hydras did NOT have diffusers which would likely have helped with that.

The author has a good map in the early pages of this thread; kinda why I didn't bother.

Hey guys, I've been running this light for a while now, always use SPS preset. I just wondering what's the best setting for SPS tank? sps or sps/lps or the sangokai preset? Thanks

Just set up my straton of an IM 40. Probably overkill, but I'm not here to be judged. Tank was just set back up, cycled and will start adding corals. Had to break down and temporarily house in a stock bin in my garage while renovating my entire motherf... oops, house.

So far, the I'm very happy with the light. Setup was a little clunky, but it was probably my routers fault. ATI support was great and got me online in no time. Look forward to US brackets.

I'll judge you! You have been judged a good man! I have mine over the 40 cube and it's FANTASTIC. You've chosen the very best light money can buy. Don't even think of another replacing it. I've tried most and took PAR readings as I own an MQ-510 Apogee.

If you need any assistance in programing, let me know. I've rearranged and it looks different, but you get the idea.

Great thread guys. Have anyone picture documented there monthly growth under the light?
I’m setting up 96x48x33 tank prolly be mixed with sps dominant and really confused between stratons and Phillips and how many to use. With Phillips I think 6 would do in two rows but not sure about stratons yet. Any advice is highly appreciated

I can help here with the length as it the same is mine and I run 4 down the middle, that width is tough. 3 covers the length fine for coverage I went with 4 to have a complete blanket. If you did 6 Stratons you will absolutely have a major hot spot where they all intersect but you have depth to help cover it.

Due to the spread of the lights I would mount them so the overall length edge to edge is 84 inches for the lights themselves as I found this cuts down on light spill at the ends of the tank and actually gets better PAR in the tank

Not exactly sure if that’s good growth to you or now been I have been happy with the coloring, that and my phosphates are anything but optimal

Thanks man. Havnt heard anything back from Phillips yet. Stratons shipment is still few weeks away to New Zealand. Do you think I could run two rows kessil A360x/A500X on front and back and use 3 stratons in middle row ?

Just got two Stratons and am setting up curves and settings. Question on master/slave pairing: is it possible to group the two lights while also connected to my home wifi network? It seems that the pairing is only possible in Access Point mode. Sorry if this was answered elsewhere on the thread - I skimmed through it but didn't see anything.
