Hello friends,

I am looking to get a Ati sunpower for my 36” tank. Would you recommend the 24” or 36” fixture?

You’ll find your answer on Brstv channel on YouTube. They talked about ATI sunpower a few days ago.

I second get the 36". ATI creates their fixture sizes to match common standard aquarium lengths.

That's why 24-36-48-60"

Definitely get the 36".
I have a 24" fixture over my 32" tank and it's ok, but could be better.

If they tank is 18 inches deep, or less, then 6 is probably OK. If more, then get the 8.

Red Sea Reefer 250 is 36x20x21. Took less than a minute to pull that up from google. If you don't know what a Red Sea Reefer 250 is, then don't post on people's thread. I'm sure you didn't mean to come off rude, but you kind of did.

I run a 48in 6 bulb over my RS 425 (48x22x22) with a reefbrite on the front and have it 7in off the water and grow Acro’s very well. But watch the BRS video - they just did an entire series specifically looking at ATI SunPower configuration for light height, bulb configuration and how many bulbs you need. I think 6 bulbs over a 250 is plenty - might be able to do 4 bulb and hang it a little lower.

No worries bud! 6 bulb is a good choice with the XHO strips!!! As far as the rude guy, just ignore them bud. This community on R2R is amazing, just got a few that can be abit touchy on forums.

Call me rude if you want... and yes, I was being rude and cheeky on purpose. You will get a fraction of the help that you need on this board, and in life, if you want everybody else to do the work for you. Help people help you and you will get farther. Saying that you have a brand model something-or-other is as dumb as posting to ask which bulbs to put into that ATI without telling people what you want to keep under it or the "look" that you like.

No worries, text can be taken out of context. Although the reefer 250 is a very common tank. Kind of like I don’t need to explain what a Radion is.
