These are my numbers currently, heater never turns on since I have it on automatic when the temp probe goes lowerWhat would be your total wattage/amp draw with all those specific pieces of equipment?
Yeah I was thinking more like a power bank since most of them can also be charged quite quick. Any brands you recommend?Generators make electricity from a fuel like gas, propane stored in tanks or natural gas piped to the home.
Solar would be a charger for a battery bank. A much larger version of your EcoTech backup batteries that works the same way.
Or you can charge a battery bank from your electric supply when it is on. The bigger a bank of batteries the longer it will last.
Its a 12v 55 ah battery.Do you think these are something that could work for a couple of hours?

Sorry. Solar isnt really a thing here unless you live on the correct side of the hill and cut down some treesYeah I was thinking more like a power bank since most of them can also be charged quite quick. Any brands you recommend?
If I'm reading your apex correct it seems like you need continuous power for 117 watts and 0.8 amps.
The Duracell would be capable of powering that equipment, but real time usage for battery length will be the question. I'd think you be able to get 3-6 hours out of that unit, but I'd read some reviews and research further before purchasing.
Maybe when I buy my own house I’ll implement solar power into the house but for now the battery bank is going to have to doSorry. Solar isnt really a thing here unless you live on the correct side of the hill and cut down some trees
I have a 32kw whole house generator that uses natural gas.
I think for the 2 years I’ve had this heater it’s only turned on twice and not for long. 4-6 hours is the timeframe I was going for since the power in New York never really goes outWait I forgot your heater... Add 200 watts, so maybe 2-4 hours... Depends how much/long your heater kicks on for.
I only want this for a peace of mind for now. I think by the time this one starts going downhill I’ll have the house finished and going to have solar power implemented into itAlso keep in mind that any battery/battery bank will have a limited shelf life... due to battery chemistry.
batteries don't last more than a few years before they start going bad.... delivering less than stated power, capacity starts shrinking, etc... you'll likely get a good 3-7 years (max) out of most batteries before they start to go down hill and need to be replaced.
This is what I’ve been looking for! Thank you very muchCheck out Goal Zero https://www.goalzero.com/product-features/portable-power-stations/
They should have something that fits your needs and are capable of being charged by solar.
There are some nice solar houses here. The company that installed our generator does that too. The head guy was showing me pictures. But they are built for it with the correct roof pitch facing the right direction on the correct side of the top of a hill. There are very few homes it can be retrofitted to and be economically viable here.Maybe when I buy my own house I’ll implement solar power into the house but for now the battery bank is going to have to do

Really appreciate it, thank you!The less you run the longer it will last. Personally I'd skip the UV and light for a few hours and stick with heat/skimmer
Planning on the house upstate in New York in the hills and a lot of people in the area I’m looking at are all running solar so I think they should be able to do it, the only thing I’d probably have to do it chop down some trees since most houses are covered in themThere are some nice solar houses here. Talking about skimmers… do you run a co2 scrubber? No problem. If it is only for a few hours the skimmer is the best thing to keep running for air exchange. Fish and Coral will be ok for hours without light.
