Bashsea pro sump vs trigger obsidian sump

Can Anyone provide experience with either these two sumps. Worth the money or JUST more hype?

Have you considered georeef? They utilize tha Clarisea auto fleece roller. I just installed one on my tank about a month and a half ago. I can’t say enough nice things about the sump.

I actually am not planning to use Rollers, IMO too much failure. I will use sponges and media cups easier and less prone to failure. I was wondering about so called improvements and upgardes versus the added cost. Thanks

I am planning on upgrading my sump to a bashsea. But I’m going to get the cheaper one. Mainly because that’s the one that fits my footprint in my stand and I like the matching ATO container and it’s 10g capacity.

I had a Bashsea sump LEAK same Model after 3 days of water testing and the Baffles were NOT fully glued in. I got a refund and switched over to trigger. Don t know about QUALITY control anymore, Good luck

That sucks.

Trigger doesn’t have one that is 10” wide to my knowledge. That’s how I landed on the bashsea

Where are u buying the sump from? Ask if Trigger will make u a custom sump. Love my other two triggers.

I’m still in the planning phase of the upgrade. I had that screen shot from a cart just as a placeholder for comparisons. I haven’t chosen a vendor yet.

I don't have experience with other sumps but I love my simple trigger sump. Very basic but I don't have anything but ato, refugium skimmer and dosing pump.
