I have had a titanium heater with a controller for 6 years, along with a Jager backup set a few degrees lower . I'm thinking it's time to get a replacement. Has anybody tried the new BRS controllable heaters yets? The reviews seem to be mixed.

Does this have outlets on side or back which turn on when the temp is low? Its heat only right not cool?
I would get 2 rated for 160-220 gallonsif you had 220 gallons of water, would you choose 2x heater rated at 100g each, or 2x heaters rated at 200g each and set them within 1 degree of each other?
This will do Heat or cool, not both. I would think you could find a model that has two sets of programmable contacts.Does this have outlets on side or back which turn on when the temp is low? Its heat only right not cool?
Sorry, then what, what is the picture showing, I think it cut off your answer? This will do Heat or cool, not both. I would think you could find a model that has two sets of programmable contacts.
You have to hard-wire your own power cords. I used old computer cords. The best thing would be to buy an inexpensive extension cord and cut in half , then
I currently have 3 on my 75 gallon and over the course of a month it hasnt been able to keep my temp stable, has slowly dropped my tank temp to 74 degrees when its set up to be 78 on all 3 heaters.Best heater imo is the neotherm heater. If you have a misshap on a water change or something and it comes out of the water it wont bust inside your tank when it touches the water agai.
Ditto!!!Eheim Jager has my vote
I have and old Eheim Jager on my 110g, and am thinking of replacing it for a few reasons:
1) It is super long and hard to put in and remove from the sump
2) Due to the length, it is also hard to reach into the sump and observe or adjust it's setting
3) It is very old (8-10 years, I think)
I haven't researched heaters in years, but after a quick glance, the titaniums look pretty nice. Very small, and I would think more durable. Any downsides? I'm thinking of investing in one of two of these and a controller.
Sorry, if these have been answered already. I'm sorta new here, and just about to get started on this 26 page leviathan.
