I use AFR and have to add stuff every now and then like calcium or alk.
I have Brightwell Magnesion and it says to dose
tank gal x ppm increase x.03785 = ml of product to add

My magnesium tested 1305 and had been testing 1320 about a month ago, so I have a 100g total water volume and want to bing it up 15 points so
100 x 15 x .03785 = 56ml

I goofed and put 80ml into the tank so have I killed my tank and whats gonna happen?

Your heart will race until you retest. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Suggestion for future additions.
Do the math, add 1/2 of the solution and retest to see if your addition actually moved the parameter half way to the goal, or not.

Add the rest or not depending upon test results.

This method has helped me avoid drastic overdoses more than a few times. The products may be more concentrated them advertised or I misread or miscalculated the dose needed.

It's no concern. Magnesium won't rise much. :)
Randy I just did the same thing dosing 95 ml and my magnesium was tested at 790 using Red Sea test kit and magnesion brightwell product.

Randy Do you recommend large water change?
