What is the Rainbow Melon? Is that new?
Yep me and Bubba both have it added it on the last grow out contest

and ours looks completely different color wise Bubba thinks mine looks like a tenuis but it reminds me more of his honeycomb

Edit
It’s also a tenuis Adam had in his collection that Bubba asked if he had any cool tenuis to ad on to his order then I added it because for some reason I think I can grow corals like bubba

I think it’s newer. I have a ton of Adams stuff so when I entered the growout contest I asked if he had anything that hasn’t been added to the site yet. He said he had a tenuis that was awesome and if you like blue light it absolutely glows. I told him I’d buy it. So far it’s nice and I can’t wait for the to grow out.

It’s interesting to see how vibrant your Rainbow Brite is. Mine is much more pastel purple and pink.
It gets a ton of light which I believe brings out the brightness in corals. I don't really see any pink in Rainbow Brite though which seems like it would be cool to have.

@Dugless I found this old pic of the coral I was talking about that might be the red scare. It no longer resembles this at all but did yours look like this at first?

Also you can see the rainbow brite in the upper left of when I first got it but now it just glows.

Yours looks nice but different for sure. Is yours in high or low par?

I've never measured my PAR, but my Rainbow Brite is about 8" from the surface. It is definitely in the top strata and hasn't changed color since day one. I did wonder about it when I got it because it looked so different from the online pic, even the corallite structure seemed different. It does have the ring of color on the growing tips though, so who knows.

That looks like the growth structure and the small polyps look very similar too. I'd wager to say it's the Red Scare. It is one of my favorites.
