Bubble algae issue is getting way out of hand, I’ve got 6 emerald crabs in a 50 g display (90g system) and they haven’t made a dent. Manual removal isn’t really an option most of the rock work is covered in coral or fused together with putty making it way too large to pull out. I try to scrape some off between water changes but as you can see kind of pointless. Attached parameters below as well as photos of some dense areas. Photos were taken during a water change, don’t have many fish atm which could be the cause of low phos. Any advice to eradicate or just stop the rapid growth of this BA would be great!

I have bubble algae in my tank that I can’t completely get rid of either. I buy emerald crabs and never see them again (I’m guessing they become wrasse food) and I bought a foxface who didn’t get the memo that he is supposed to eat it.

I have managed to control it by manual remover but the way I do it is to use a large diameter metal drinking straw from Amazon that I attached a tube to. I start a siphon and run the tube to a filter sock in my sump. The metal straw does a great job of scrapping them from the rock around corals and when I’m done I just empty the sock. This may not be a solution to completely eradicate them but it may help keep them manageable.
