Melty yumminess in the oven.

My hand is still upset with everything I was trying to do yesterday.

Ordered my lid last week, current production time is approximately 45 days, should in theory not be an issue. I think that maths to Oct 30th. My track record with lid production I'll assume Nov 6th before I start to worry :face-with-tears-of-joy:

I know adding in live rock should help cycle faster, but I want all the rock in first (which may be 2 pickups with the 2nd being late Oct anyway) and to be able to add some cuc as well before I even think about moving fish over.

I did not see any other critters on the rock when unloading, hopefully he was the only one. He's in the sump of the cube. He'll be my tester in a week into the sump of the peninsula. If he lives I'll feel okay with anything that comes in on the tbs rock surviving lol.

Got the foam pad into the sump earlier, it's already filthy. Tank is looking a lot clearer already though so it's definitely helping.

Got the right attachment for the scrubber, don't have the energy to finish plumbing that in tonight though.

Time for wine + Stephen King book to finish off the evening, I think.

Made my tank cloudy again accidentally. Pulled the foam to rinse it and it was so thick with sediment some circled back into the system. About an hour with the rinsed foam back in place and it's cleared back up again most of the way already.

Got lights in place in the sump so I can see things.

Headed to the in-laws to ensure their yard was projectile free (aside from the bomb, it was). Brought the bomb home with us.

Not kidding...

Doing some in the house cleaning up around the tank from all the havoc I created. Then cleaning up our own yard.

Every update pushes Helene's expected track even further west so not too worried, but it's a good motivator for us to clean up already.

Plumbing some other stuff in the sump today.

H*ll yes on the tank running :grinning-face-with-big-eyes:

I'll also be enjoying (hopefully) the hurricane from St John's county..

PS: What the F*** are these and why do they want to get into all of my things -_-

Anoles! :face-with-tears-of-joy: when I was little we'd catch them and attach them to our ears like earrings. I recently moved my big monstera back indoors and have been catching babies that hatched in the pot all month to release them back outside.

Nothing very exciting to look at right now. Crazy wind. A little rain. Made it home just as the wind really picked up and we lost power. Have the return pump, fridge, and well running on battery backup :face-with-tears-of-joy:
