I love purple so I just had to have him.
My son is giving me one of his purple pincushions when my new tank is ready, he thinks two in his tank is overkill.

I saw those for the first time when I bought my fish last week. I was wondering if they looked like their pictures. After seeing yours, they obviously do! I need one now lol
My purple was a notorious cord muncher! And by notorious, I mean he ate the cord to my skimmer and electrocuted himself. No other damage beyond a dead urchin and a dead skimmer but it could have ended badly. Get cord covers for any cords in the tank with him (powerheads/wavemakers, heaters, etc.).

The only cords inside my tank are my wave makers and he never gets on them he never goes that high up in the tank so hopefully I'm safe.

Finally got the corals I bought several months ago placed where I wanted and glued. I hope they do well where I have them. My vision is to have zoa's and paly's all over the rock work with taller corals placed here and there. Not sure if it will work but I think it will look great if it does.

Gorgeous!

Purple is a fantastic color and also happens to be my favorite.

That is quite the dump of photos. The kind we all like and your tank is looking great. Can't wait to see it, after a while, when it is filling out!

I placed the corals I got from corals.com last week in the places I wanted them. I don't think my mini scolys look like they are doing to well but I'm hopeful they will get better. I read they seem to do better when not placed flat so I put them in a spot where they are slightly leaning. The gonipora has been extending and opening up and looking beautiful so I'm hoping it stays that way its closed right now because of me picking it up and attaching it to the rock.

The second mini scoly's look good, the first looks worse but its hard to compare if that's skeleton or just its color. They do not like a lot of flow and prefer lower par. They may do better if oriented upwards as well. Not too concerning though.

They are in what I would think would be a lower par area and not a huge amount of flow as it's near the bottom of the tank. I would say they are facing up but at an angle. I hope that makes sense. I'm not very good with words sometimes. Lol

The second one looks fine. Its hard to tell does the first one look like it has skeleton sticking out or is that the original colors.

So, as mentioned, the first doesn't look happy but that's not necessarily "on its way out".

Sometimes what we think is low par is higher than what we might think - especially if it's directly under a light.

It would help us cover all bases if we knew your numbers. Do you have any shrimp? Any fish that may be nipping at them? My tailspot almost killed my scoly.
