Hi everybody, I set up and started (4 days ago) My first reef, today i noticed this 3 things, what are they? Are they “reef safe”? (Last pic i reefer to the “eyebrows” coming out of the rock). Thanks everyone, and nice to meet you all!

The first pic I'm unsure of. The other 2, I'm thinking sponges.

When I zoom in they get blurry. I’m thinking sponges but I don’t see anything that you should be concerned about. Oh and welcome, glad you are here!

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

The first pic is of sponges (the white stuff with the holes in them) and should be harmless.

The second pic isn't as clear, but I think I see some more white sponge; I can't see the red thing well enough to say for sure what it is (a few options depending on how it sits on the substrate include sponge, macroalgae, and benthic foraminiferan), but none of the things I would think it could be at this point are likely to be harmful (so the red thing is most likely safe to keep).

The third pic is tough, but I see what appears to be approximately 5 critters sticking out in a tight cluster in the rocks (each of the "eyebrows" seems to be a little central "stick" with two thinner "sticks" jutting out from it) - given the odd clustering and coloration, my first thought would be some kind of Amphipod species living in the rocks; my next thought would be a larger Spionid worm species, but that definitely seems unlikely here. Do the "eyebrows" move at all?
