Customer Service told me to try here

I purchased a 1/4 EZ Angle Stop Adapter to fir under my sink. my water pipes are too big (guessing 1/2 inch wide so i was looking for a connector to neck down the pipe on both ends of the adapter to fit. my local hardware store said that the threads didn't fit any connectors that they had in stock and that the Angle Stop Adapter threads are too compressed to look like pipe threads. Any suggestions on what will fit?

thanks

I didn’t think it would be a hard item to find, but then when I went to the local hardware store they told me that the threading was more compact so they didn’t have anything that would fit (after trying a few different adapters)

So you're basically looking for a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter, pretty standard fitting and shouldn't be hard to find. Mind posting a picture of the EZ stop so I know if I'm thinking of the right fitting? And a picture of where you are connecting it into...

I didn’t think it would be that hard either. Went to the hardware store and they told me the threading was too compact to fit anything they had and that the threading didn’t look like pipe threading (tried a few different adapters that didn’t work)

I'm trying to figure out exactly what this is for. Is this to hook up a rodi system?

You may have to look at finding what will work directly with your plumbing (you're probably correct with 1/2") and then go from there to hook up whatever you're trying to hook up. If that makes sense?

Hooking up a Rodi system under my sink. Trying to eliminate all the lines from view if possible. Just seems to be a lot more work than expected. Headed to Home Depot to see if they have a stop adapter that will fit and just not use this one I bought.

They surely should have something! I just cut my supply lines and use pex, but that's way beyond what you're trying to do with the under sink hookup.

That angle stop appears to be fine threads, which home depot should have as well.

Hope you find something or find someone their that knows what's up! Let us know. There's several plumbers and plenty of people who have done rodi under sink here in the forum. We will eventually get them here, if need be!

Sinks are usually pretty standard plumbing sizes... that fitting should fit directly onto it o_O I used this fitting to plumb my RODI into my basement sink, fantastic fitting and should be available at home depot as well but should also have the same size threads as what you already have...

A Picture of your plumbing under your skin would really help here...

What is the name of that piece that you sent the picture to?

Here is a picture under my sink.

Yea that’s why it looked familiar. i looked at the John guest adapter this morning as that seems to be the better option than the plastic one I bought

I found half of my solution. Just need the other half, and then from there I need to make sure I don’t strip the threads which I started to do since it’s plastic. (I guess worse case I can get the John Guest version if I do)

That looks like what I need. Just need to make sure it’s compression threaded. I’m assuming that the JG has the same compression threading? Looks the same from the pic and I asked the customer service rep who confirmed but I’m still skeptical of how much he actually knew

Next question now that I have it all set up to get water into my rodi is how can I set this up so that my blue clean water outflow runs through my faucet so that I just need to turn it on and off using the knobs on the counter?
