I have a chalice which has been in my tank for a few months. It's been showing growth. This past week, a white spot formed on part of it. The white spot appeared within a few days of a lighting change. My question is, should I try to ride it out, or make a few frags. It is roughly 5cm in diameter. The white spot can be seen in just left of the center mass.

Looks like a bit of light burn. If the damage is done I would probably just leave it where it is. If it seems to be getting worse then move into an indirect lighting spot for a while then re-acclimate.

Unfortunately, they can't be moved. :( If it looks like it gets worse, I'm going to bump my lights down, and try to ramp them up.

Based on your pic, it looks like the damage is done and the healing has begun or will be starting soon.

You could always shade it from direct exposure for a while while it heals.
