Since I have gotten back into this hobby, I have found that many people are keeping chalices. All I ever see are frags though. About the size of a nickle at the most. Does anyone have and pics of these corals that have any size to them? I would love to see some pics of some that are well established in some nice reefs.

Thanks
Tony

I think sexycorals went above and beyond the call of duty there ;)

I'm with you, I'm reentering the hobby after a break and chalice is all the rage... as I was leaving the hobby it was acans.. I suppose in 5 years we'll find something else!

I've got no pics for you, but these chalice coral are really neat and as they grow they only become cooler and cooler. It sucks that they're so expensive for nice ones, but I suppose that keeps the hobby interesting...it got boring when everybody had the same stuff.

Growth depends on the chalice from what I've seen. I have two that grow in an almost plating montipora shape. I've seen some that encrust more than anythign and others that look like bubble wrap. They definitely come in a broad group of coral shapes

This chalice isn't actually mine, but my friend keeps it in the tank here in my office. I guess you can say that I'm babysitting it for him.
