Steve here from France. My latest dilemma is BJD and it has devastated not only all of my Euphyllia but virtually all of my corals. I have little or no experience managing this type of event and I totally mismanaged this one; that's for sure. Right now I have no coral left, none, and I'm trying to sanitize my tank to prepare for new coral introductions, so I'm hyper filtering. Performing approximately 30% water changes every four days with all filtration cranked up to the max. I've also added activated carbon which appears to be having a visible impact on my water clarity. However, I have still spotted small signs of BGD floating around. Do anyone have any recommendations to share with me as to how I can most effectively sanitize my aquarium without resorting to antibiotics? If possible, I would like to avoid pharmaceuticals. I have already spent a lot of time researching this on internet and the lack of information, advice or protocol is amazing. People discuss this topic very fatalistically as if its a hopeless battle. I've got a redsea 350 G2 peninsula tank with all redsea equipement. I use the reefmat, also at full speed, in addition to the protein skimmer and activated carbon. The ony thing I don't use is the filter sock because its getting crowded down there. My water is cristal clear and my bio load is very low, five Chromis, two clowns; two Cardinals . Do anyone recommend UV filtration? Do anyone have any ideas or recommendations for me on this? Shall I continue my water change regime as is for a month or two and assume that all is well?

I wished I could offer advise but have never dealt with BJD. I have heard Cipro can be effective but of course that is an antibiotic.
