Hello, what is your recommendation for cleaning MP40 wetside?
Soak in Citric acid, take apart ( though I don’t unscrew the screw and take out the tiny parts (maybe others do?), brush off debris with a toothbrush under running tap water, rinse in saltwater, reassemble.

I have an extra wetside for both of my MP40s. I simply swap them weekly and let the dirty ones soak in a citric acid solution for a day. I have never taken either apart other than removing the cover to clean. Have had them for several years now.

The ‘problem’ with the above linked video, is that it’s for the old style MP40. Impressive if anyone’s still running one. Newer wetsides don’t come apart …. well, other than removing the nozzle/screen. Just buy a couple of spare nozzles - that’s the part that usually needs a vinegar soak. I take out the wetside, give it a mechanical clean and torque on a fresh nozzle. Encrusted nozzle gets a protracted vinegar bath.

I do all what Ca1ore says; but use citric acid instead. Citric acid doesn't smell and at least around me getting white vinegar got harder to find during covid and price went up.
