Well, I certainly learned something new! :)

My current pair sticks together and they pretty much ignore my other fish. No chasing, nothing. After what you said, though, I'm concerned that it may not stay that way!

Here is a picture of a hitchhiker on one of my live rocks. Can anyone id? And should I get rid of them? Can this lead to my clown issues?

My male didnt do much chasing, but the female was cantankerous, and chased the bigger fish here and there.

I may have wiped down the glass top with a rag with some rubbing alcohol. Maybe that was what did my clowns in. I am going to just keep the damsel for a few weeks and do my water changes. I may then return the damsel and try a couple more clowns.

Any advise on how to net a damsel. I tried for about 15 minutes and didn't come close :)

Many people dose vodka on a regular basis, so I seriously doubt a little rubbing alcohol would kill them that easily. Besides, why would the damsel not have been affected?

Simple answer to the damsel-catching question: you don't. LOL

Seriously though, if you use a mirror on one side of the tank, you may be able to distract him long enough to swoop in. Draining the tank a ways can be helpful too. There are fish traps (and DIY fish traps) available as well.

Last-ditch, you could use a baited hook and line, but hopefully it won't come to that. Use a barbless hook.

Seriously? Drinking 8 ounces of Isopropanol will kill you, anything less will give you pain and sickness. There's a huge difference between rubbing alcohol and vodka.

There's still the question of why the damsel would not have been affected if that's what it was, though.

Damsels are indestructable.
But, all fish are unique in there own way, why did this Tang get Ich and this one not. Clownfish are hardy, Damsels are Indestructable. Its a thought anyway.
