Took a ten year break and dove back in with a 90 gallon rimless cube. Rimless where just starting to appear when I left and I always wanted one. The tank is going through its ugly stage. It was set up for three years at a friends house he had to move so sold all the live stock and sold me the system at a steal.

  • System volume is right around 103 gallons
  • 20 gallon eshopp sump with Ato
  • Eshop s-120 skimmer
  • have no idea about the return pump (ill have to look at that )
  • 100 pounds of live rock
  • 1.5 inch sand bed
  • reefkeeper light system controller
  • mar aqua black box led. I think I hate led it had a reefbreeder on it when I got it bust a lot of the blues where burned out so I got this one till I can repair the other. The corals seem to love it and respond well but I am old school and hate the look of it. I will probably replace it with a 250 MH T5VHO combo when money permits
  • Tank is 30 x 30 x 24
  • Active aqua 1/4 hp chiller
  • BRS ro/di
  • SG 1.025
  • temp 78
  • amonia 0
  • nitrite 0
  • nitrate 1.5
  • phosphate 0.36
  • ph 8.5
  • KH 8.5
On to the photos thus far

Tank is going through an Algae break out due to the move. phosphates are at 0.36 and nitrates are at 1.5 The clean up crew is taking care of it so I just have to wait it out.

The sump. I had to raise the skimmer so it would not overflow. The water is high in the sump due to the fact my heater wont fit side ways I need to find a shorter heater. Although I do like the extra volume. Plus eventually I may shift things around to get a refugium in the sump

fishroom.jpg

The fish room or as my wife calls it the laundry room. The chiller is not hooked up yet. I live in Wa state and autumn has fallen with a heavy thud so I wont need it for at least 9 months. The dosing pump is a dp-4 I am not using enough calcium yet to need it water changes are still working just fine.

Thats it for now

Hydnophora I got this from my LFS for a huge discount it's tissue was receding and it did not look good. But after a dip and proper placement with flow and lighting it came back. First couple of days I thought I was going to have to frag it but he pulled through.

nice tank. Watch out for the xenia. It might take over your tank.
