Good morning reefers! I currently have a 75 gallon oceanic with lots of zoas...I also have a lot of aptasia:( my wife has been wanting me to get a butterfly for a while to control aptasia but have been hesitant due to fear of it picking at corals. Would love to get your opinion and experience with these!!! Thx very much for your input!

I have one that eats Aiptasia, so far hasn't picked at any corals.

I miss my cbb, he died from being mis fed during a vacation, so feed him mysis daily. They are pretty reef safe, keep an eye on him and like said before, keep him fed and you will be fine.

I think you'll be ok! But he may not get rid of your aiptasia in a manner as quickly as you like. I would still supplement the eradication by hand.

Either way, beautiful and functional fish, just don't keep him with similar colored tangs.

A beautiful fish, I've had mine about 4 months and he hasn't touched a z/p yet. He also hasn't touched any of my aptasia. Mine picks around in the rocks for pods and eats ova and cyclopeeze. I did have an abundance of small featherdusters on my rocks that he ate as soon as we was put in the tank.
