I would be cautious of listening to anything about "nuking" tanks. I had myself really freaked out in the beginning thinking I would not be good at reefing because you had to know that this could kill this and that would nuke the whole tank if it died, but only if it's a small tank and a big tank would be fine. It's chaos when you get into it. I've had cow fish and box fish die, no nuke. Sea cucumbers, they say they'll nuke your tank but I've not had that experience. Just be careful and do more research before you stress yourself out. If the person hasn't experienced it themselves, I might take it with a grain of salt.

This hobby isn’t supposed to cause stress. If they start to die…remove them. But if they are open and doing fine. I wouldn’t worry about it.
It’s not, but man it does! It’s so hard to keep everything happy! If you can learn to just let go and stuff dies then you’ll be a better reefer! I don’t care who you are things happen for reasons unexplained and it stresses most out! If I got one coral dying and 70 thriving it’s like bye Felicia! Haha

Run carbon when scaping with zoa. Not sure if panic is warranted as Ive had zoas and paly for decades with zero issue or concern and they dont emit poison. We've heard of toxins which are often due to mishandling and lack of protection and washing up after handling

If you're this stressed about a paly, just get rid of them. But...

1. very few things labelled "paly" in the hobby are actually palys
2. very few actual palys in the hobby have problematic levels of palytoxin in them
3. the ones that do are pretty ugly and boring and not very available in the hobby anymore due to prettier, nontoxic strains saturating the market

I am getting tangs soon in about 2 weeks and running carbon can cuase hlle so should I remove the carbon now that my palys have openede up bright green and are eating. I plan on doing a water change before I get the tang to remove any remaging tracs of carbon

Carbon causing HLLE is a myth as I run Chemipure Blue full time with 26 tangs present and not one with HLLE often caused by poor water conditions and insufficient diet
