Interesting. I’d think that after being delayed for a while you’d want to get it out of that water asap? I get the whole not raising the temp quickly

If the corals are already weak, rushing it will probably do more harm than good, it’s now that the process becomes more important, if it was worth doing with a healthy warm coral, then with a coral in bad shape it must be more important, if they have been delayed for days, an extra 30mins is probably not going to matter.

This is the one time I’m glad I didn’t listen to some of y’all lol. I went to intercept the package and got it. At least a couple zoas are still alive with a couple other corals glowing a little bit but a lot of skeleton showing. I’m letting them sit in my tank for an hour and then we’ll get a close look at the damage

I'm in miami and have 3k in torches currently delayed. No updates other than it is in transit. Was shipped overnight yesterday and I didn't get it today. The online vendor is offering to refund half of the $3,000 even though their website policy states that they are not responsible for shipping delays. Are they being reasonable? Or am I entitled to a refund. Assuming the corals don't arrive. Thanks in advance

Yikes. if your torches arrive dead and this vendor doesn't replace them, I'd love to know the name of this vendor so that I can avoid using them in the future, because that sounds like a really terrible policy.

Quick question for you guys. Do I skip the dip since they’re beyond stressed or I still need to do it? I use bayer fyi as well

Dip, sad to say but you need to be sure they don’t bring anything in with them, if you had a qt tank then no dip.

Sadly don’t have a QT tank. If I would’ve been smarter I would’ve rigged up a spare 10 gal rq but I didn’t think. Too late now. Is it safe to assume there’s probably about 6oz of liquid in those small bags?

how I guess is a can of Coke is 12oz or whatever size you buy, easy to compare then.

Eh I don’t dip if they are acros. They have a hard enough time just being shipped, but I also am pretty selective of where I purchase them from.

Also I find it’s much more likely to have pests on LPS and zoas then acros, the skeleton on LPS allows them to grow directly on the coral.
True true. Yeah I’m gonna dip them all. I’m not super worried as the vendor claims they dip all their corals as well but they also say to dip when you get them to be sure

Currently dipping half of them (12) and only one clear DOA as of now. Zoas look okay and the LPS look pretty bad but still have all their flesh

Does this hairy slime on them mean they’re dead or what?

They are stressed. Keep an eye on them if they are dead you will know in a few days when the tissue rots or the whole head bails from the skeleton.

My box of fish eggs is out for delivery in Virginia today...I packaged them up the morning of Wednesday.

Still waiting to hear from the company.....
Yeah I haven’t heard anything either but it’s only been a couple hrs. From what I can tell DOA is awesome ric shroom, Duncan, golden gate favia, ultra red people eater zoas, homegrown alve Aussie candy cane, Mr. Miami chalice, ultra Aussie blasto, sun god leptastrea, and both montis. A couple zoas are questionable but the rest look good and all other are very questionable.
