Cucumbers morning constitutional?

This is my black cucumber (I think) , he comes out at night and in the a.m. goes back into hiding. He always leaves a pile of what looks like white poop piles. Is that actually what this is? It almost looks like he eats sand and then deposits a pile on his way back into hiding.

Sorry for such a "crappy" topic before most people eat breakfast. Thanks ahead for any insight or opinions on whats going on here.
