Check out Planet Aquarium - their mega matrix line you can check out pricing on their website....they have a lot of stock sizes that aren't too pricey

If you go truly custom, it's expensive no matter where you go

Everyone talks about Glass Cages for custom builds. Is there anyone else that does it? maybe just a little cheaper? I drive a Subaru, I don't need a Ferrari.
I'm sure there are other custom makers out there, but I'm not sure you're going to find any significantly cheaper than Glass Cages.

Joe and team have an incredible rep, and if not one of their custom tanks I'd just stick with IM, WB, UNS, etc.

I got my 240 from advanced acrylics. I am happy with the quality and it was a lot cheaper from some of the higher end options.

Im going with SC Aquariums for my next build...150 gal, starfire front and sides, eurobraced perimeter only, and drilled for synergy overflow for about $1880 shipped.

I searched everywhere and you won't find better pricing anywhere. They also sell some of their tanks on Amazon.

Glass cages quoted me $4129 for the exact same tank, not including shipping...:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I personally think acrylic is better but they both have their pros and cons. Acrylic scratches "easier" but that is pretty overblown imo. You will never have to worry about the seams leaking on acrylic like you might with glass over time. Acrylic is much lighter than glass so moving it is a breeze. The biggest issue imo with acrylic is if the wall thickness isn't enough it will get a little bit of a bow to it. I got my 240 from advanced acrylics and I have been very happy with it. I actually did scratch it by being an animal and getting superglue all over it but after a quick polish job you can't even tell it was there.
