I found an aptasia today.... When does the Zaptasia stuff expire after opening or does it not? Because I have some old zaptasia but i can't remember if its supposed to be a browny color
I wouldnt use chemicals, most people will steer you away from this route as well. Kalk paste, or if you can take the rock out good ol fashioned flames will kill them dead.
I have heard only certain peppermints eat aipstasia, not entirely sure which ones do vs dont but hopefully someone with the knowledge will swing through shortly.
Unique corals, a platinum sponsor has berghia. Berghia are simply the most effective cure for aiptasia. All others have much higher limited success rates.
I tried injecting them and it created more, I tried the zapper and it created more.....so I dumped about 7 peppermints and a copperband butterfly in my tank and now there are none that I can see. So my vote would be go natural and stay away from the "over the counter" stuff
I've had the worst luck with peppermint:( bought 5 on three different occasions and nada. Put butterfly in ate all (so I thought) was eating mysis and croaked out of nowhere:( have aptasiax but may try a berghia then lemon juice. Thx everyone!
Peppermints have always worked for me. They don't get them all but they keep them in check. My bangaii cardinal has a taste for peppermint shrimp and ate them all so I'm starting to see aiptasia pop up again. One or two shrimp won't get the job done I always add about 2 dozen at a time.
