Dirty SPS?

So the question is what types of SPS are best suited for higher-nutrient “mixed-reef” environments??

From my experience all of your STYLOs and green slimer keep there colors and grow great in your higher nutrient systems, but I would love to hear other people’s thoughts!

How “dirty” is your water?

My current tank is not dirty. But it is SPS dominant... My next tank will be a mixed reef and I plan on maintaining nitrates 5-20 ppm. From my experience softies like that the best.

I do not think you will have an issue at those nutrient levels for most sps. Maybe some of those expensive slow growers or some that vary greatly in color depending on chemistry and lighting, Pink lemonade, red planet etc. might be a different color than in lower no3 tank. But if starting at the higher end of that range i would cycle slow and add herbivores first.
