Hello been having this angle for about 3 weeks, he had no signs of infection besides the ick. I dipped him in hydroplex for 10 minutes and tossed him in my tank. I’ve been dosing rally pro to help mitigate the ick and grounded ginger which has helped. However a new infection has arrived being on his right side of his gill plate, looks like is a tissue infections making its skin black/brown on the infection. Please help me ID this infection in order to treat it right away, Thank you.

Hydroplex dips don't always cure ich, but the issue with the angel's gill plate isn't that. Angelfish have spines on their gill covers that often get caught in nets when they are caught up - I can also see some white spots/damage to its dorsal fin - that can also be a sign of net damage.

This species can be very delicate. Is it eating well? What foods are you feeding it?

I’m feeding it pellet nori and marine fish pellets. It eating healthy and growing but I did put him in a net 2 weeks ago. Would that cause the infection on his gill plate?

Not a proper diet. Add to diet:
Formula 2 frozen
LRS fish frenzy
Spirulina brine shrimp

The angel refuses to eat live brine shrimp, and algae sheets. I tried multiple times to feed it but refuses and only sticks to pellet food. Do you have any suggestions about its infection? Or how to help him?

If breathing heavy, can be flukes but by chance do you know if its from overseas, Sri Lanka, Africa or?
Method of catch may play a role depending on origin

Yes - if the gill spines got snagged on that side, it could have been that.
