did she look at the tank from that point of view you just took the pic from??? becuase ya there not the same size lol

I'm on lots of meds right now so please excuse me...

I hate to inform you,but your tank is not a cube.

Cube: A symmetrical three-dimensional shape, either solid or hollow, contained by six equal squares

Mmmmmmm those steaks were tasty!!!! Haha....
Tank is in it's new home....;) not were we planned on sticking but that's where it's going... Excuse the mess I had to rearrange a bunch of stuff real quick to get it in while I had some help.... Worst part is in the garage it didn't look big so the wifey was happy put it in the house she was cool with it then after 4 different spots it rests right next to my current display.... need I say more haha.... (quote) "ummm this tank is not small it's almost as big as your tank right now what the heck!!!!!!!"(end quote) haha gotta love em.....;)

So this is becoming the music/fish room? lol jk

This cube is going to look really sweet once it is stocked up!!! Im already impressed by it!

Well if length times width match in this fish world it's a cube.... I should have been 30tall I agree but I hate tall tanks...... ;)

Haha I was up till 3 am plumbing the stupid closed loop what a challenge!!!! It was fun thou.... Just gotta plumb the return and were rocking!!!!! Did a test run with the dart and ocean motions last night I like it!!!

I got a million pics to update with all the little details I did like building a drip tray for the dart.... Ran into a few problems like testing the plumbing over night there was a slow drip right at the inlet connection on the dart no big deal but the plumbing holds close to 5gal of water so after removing the dart for repair and making a huge mess I put a barbed npt fitting on the volute of the dart with a valve to drain the plumbing for maintenece it came out really sweet!!!!! Ummm I had to cut the height of the sump down 18" was to tall I could barely pull the skimmer cup without angling it and if I did that most likely I would spill it if it was over half full..... It's wet thou got 10gal of water chilling in it to make sure none of the plumbing decides to spring a leak or anything also tested the ocean motion and made a video it's pretty cool..... I'm jazzed man this is my ultimate system right here!!!!! Just down right clean and so functional without any hiccups!!!!!! I love designing systems man I should do this for a living haha...... Oh yeah I made the externAl overflow box 6" tall like I always do but this time the durso pipes show because I have a wier just a clean slit with no teeth so they sit flush with the top... Well needless to say that's not acceptable I made a custom TL durso very compact and small problem solved..... ;) plenty of pics to come soon I'm stuck at baseball again...

Looking forward to the new pics.

Hopefully my OM 2-way arrives this week so I can finish plumbing mine. Ordered some LEDs from Bill @ ReefLEDs on Friday so I can get started building the lighting. I couldn't afford all of the LEDs I wanted, will have to finish the LED build next month, but I have more than half of them to get me started.

Edit: oh, I also ordered a big piece of shelf rock from Marco tonight. Have some nice ideas running through my head for aquascaping.

Ummm the drip pan for the dart with a nice foam/rubber insert to dampen any noise or vibrations most of the closed loop plumbing is spaflex also to keep it nice and quiet... Works well I have done this in the past...

Oh yeah each outlet and inlet has it's own union and ball valves to adjust the flow if needed or cut one out etc blah blah blah lol.... You know I made it for ease of repairs or replacements... Came out nice it was just tricky because of the limited space but I got it done....;) the return I gotta plumb And make a manifold to feed the reactors and that's a wrap it will see saltwater and substrate... Next thing will be the aquascape my worst enemy haha...:xd:

Thanks bro can't wait to stock it....:xd: should be stocked by this time next week I'm gonna use water and like 20lbs of rock from my display to seed this bad boy for instant stockification haha.... Is that a word????

Looks great Lee! Can't wait to see this bad boy filled up!

Nice man glad to see it is coming together and I think stockification we'll just add to your list of vocabulary haha nice build man

Thanks guys it's right there getting real excited!!!!!! Gotta talk to Vic over at atb and maybe replace the dart with another flow star then I got a all atb powered cube!!!! Shweeeeet!!!;) I got a flowstar 3200 return and a atb skimmer just need a atb closed loop to be well yeah you know lol....:xd:
