I am going to replace two of my t5 w/LEDs. I will keep 2 of the t5 but add LEDs to enhance the colors. I am looking at adding 3watt blues is there any other color that enchances the corals colors.

some people throw one or 2 red LEDs in their mix for extra color, i have a 12 inch heatsink and was told that about 1 led for every 12 inches oh heatsink would be enough. i added one to mine. it brings out some red/purples. its inline with all my whites, so that when the blues are on, its only blues, and when the whites cut on, the red is on with them

There's a lot more variability than that. A 12" heat sink would be very conservative for one LED!
