DIY RO/DI bypass valves

Looking for help. do i need all these valves? i just replaced all filter including membrane and with the stay at home was bored so plumbed a ton of bypasses.

I'm not sure about the rest. But from what I understand a flow restrictor bypass is useful for flushing the membrane before and after making water and a di bypass is good for drinking water

I installed the filters for the first 3 chambers and opened the membrane bypass.
drained that for 5 minutes until the carbon dust cleared up.
closed the membrane bypass.
Opened the DI bypass, drained for 8 quarts. (tested and found 15 tds)
Closed DI Bypass, drained 5 gallons (tested before draining and showed 0 tds)

What is the purpose of all the bypasses? I'm looking at it as more points to give you headaches.

Membrane bypass => flush out glue from sediment filter & carbon dust after filter replacements
flow restrictor bypass => membrane flush
di bypass => flushes tds creep on initial use
product water bypass => Really a shutoff valve, not a bypass. The picture is incorrect about it's purpose. Honestly no real use here except to be able to completely stop product water from exiting the membrane housing. I may remove this valve.

What's your tap water pressure without restrictions? Mines only 20.

I can see the flush valve one and the Di one if your drinking ro water pmyself. I'm by no means an expert on these things.

I have a pressure gauge in the mail. Will let you know once I plumb it. I installed the sediment, the two carbons filters and opened the membrane bypass. The water came out super dark because of the carbon. That's water that would have went through my brand new membrane. Happy I installed the membrane bypass. I definitely recommend it after the personal experience.

40 entering the membrane. Will probably manage until a good deal comes around for a booster pump.
