I unfortunately had to take it down when I began the move. I knocked on parents' door and kept it with them in their basement, but I don't think it's been going well. I guess a reef tank is definitely not one of those things you can place in the care of someone without the experience and expertise. My LRS wasn't able to keep the corals, unfortunately, and by the time I got to the parents' home, I thought it could work out.

I’m in a similar predicament about moving. I would hate to break down my tank. But it seems inevitable.
 

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
