Just wondering what creative folks we have here:) post photos of your tanks with coral frowning on something cool! Or even growing in a cool way! In my tank I have a Goni on top of a tree statue:)

I don't have anything interesting in my tank so I don't have a picture to add, but a lfs that I have been to a few times has gsp growing over letters in the tank that is the name of the store. It wasn't completely covered last time I was there but what was covered looked really cool.

My guess it’s just straight up cement. I know a guy who incorporates a lot of skulls in his scapes using just Portland cement I believe. I think there is even one you can buy on amazon, if I’m not mistaken? I’ll see if I can find links!

Portland cement is cheap and readily available. I may try to make my own mold and do this. I've never been a huge fan of encrusting corals but this may change my mind. Thanks for the info.

I bought skull shot glasses from Amazon. Placed a frag of cyphaestra on top. It grew like crazy and I love it. Also tried Lepto but it started to plate and did not encrust. Started to look like a sombrero

Does rock or urchins count? I am so boring. I have seen many of the skull decor and a couple lego type ones. The titanic ship looking one looks neat.

What kind of lepto is that? I am trying to convince my wife to let me try something like this in the tank and she refuses. Haha.
Yeah, it’s not my favorite either. I keep trying to sell it. Haha. It’s a Jack o Lantern Lepto. He grabbed it at RAP a couple years ago.

I have a colony of Zoa’s growing on a piece of branching rock. I epoxied it to and old magnetic glass cleaner and have it sticking out of my back glass to hide my probe holder. The polyps are finally starting to cover the epoxy. Kind of a “floating” effect, I guess! LOL!
