My small frags I picked up last month for my small tank took 2 weeks before they started coming out. We’re at 4 weeks now and they still are a little shy. Not sure why but some Duncan’s just do that.

The furthest ones back are a month and a half and a different batch. The 2 in each pic in front of them are staring to adjust. The 2 larger were held before they shipped, they took 2 weeks to open too. Seller held them to make sure they were still going to open. 0D902DBF-DA6E-4CDF-AEEA-C0DBDC3459E5.jpeg 53129441-1A56-4020-A880-F5232F28BB8B.jpeg

Got this guy Thursday, he has been eating, just a bit bubbly

Are your params that way intentionally? Alkalinity, Calcium and nitrates seem unreasonably high.
That's about what they have been since i started this endever 6 months ago. Using io reef crystals, working on reducing nitrates, they were over 40
Also have crappy api test kit sooo

I’d recommend getting better test kits. Red Sea and Hanna are highly recommend.

Duncan’s tend to be my canary coral. They are most sensitive and tend to act up before other corals if things aren’t right.

Keep in mind your Duncan’s are also getting used to your tank. It might take a week before it looks as good as it did when you bought it.

Also if you don’t have a ton of hard corals (sps and lps) your tank most likely wont process the higher params of “reef” salt. Example reef crystals or Red Sea reef salt. Could put you abnormally high on the cal, mag, dkh, spectrum.

I plan on going heavy on lps and sps, i also plan on better test, just haven't gotten that far yet.
