So what seems to be the consensus on the correct dosage. I’m attempting this in a nano reef this week...... approx 25g. Should I dose 1mg/gl, 2mg, 4mg? I’m dealing with the brown/purple variety of clove polyp.

I chickened out. They were on top of a huge centerpiece rock. Since I'm upgrading to a larger tank I removed the rock and hammered away the top where the GSP had spread. I still may experiment with the chunk broken off because there were Zoas mixed in.
There is some satisfaction in hammering :)

They are very tough. Not sure what to tell you. Mine did not die with 4mg/gal for 1 week :(
They were severely stunned, but it looks like they are coming back

Did you notice any negative effects to your livestock/corals at that dose?

The only negative was that my snails were toast. loss my Turbos, some hugh one.
sally lite foot crap, was unaffected, as were nassarius snails and conch.
No corals showed any effects, (zoas, shrooms, sps, lps).
GSP was killed at the lowest dose (1.5 mg/g).
no fish were affected.
The clove polyps were definitely knocked back, as i can see some starting to come back now

That is another way to get rid of them. Grow them on an island or on the back wall of the tank.

I have the brown version of these polyps. Biggest nightmare trying to kill. I have tried multiple times to kill them off with Fenbendazole just to have them grow back

Brittle stars, pods, cleaner shrimp, hermit crabs, other snails survived the treatment but my turbos slowed then died.

It does kill GSP at approx 1.5 mg/gallon. I should have went with 2 mg/gal just in case. But like clockwork this worked. Hermits were picking at the remnants within a few days. There's a patch of GSP that have remained closed up but aren't gone like the other areas that were wiped out.

I hope this stays gone for me.

I dosed last fall and it worked for a time but they've since come back. I going to go 2mg per gal. Once I'm past the initial phase I'm thinking I might preemptively drop a second dose.

Any livestock losses as of yet? I keep pushing this back because I’m terrified of nuking the tank.

I did not loose any livestock, even at 4mg/gal for 7 days.

I think we were dosing around the same time. Did they come back and you dosed again at 4mg/gal or you knocked them out the first time?

@Aqua fire/medic I lost blue ridge coral (couldn't take it out), Kenya tree (which I was fine with) and my grandis palys took a hit. I removed gorgonians, other softies and all snails. Didn't have an issue reintroducing them after treatment.

They are coming back, even after 1 wk at 4mg/gal. Really sucks!!!!!!!
Next week I plan to rescape the tank (some are my sps are literally growing out the tank). I will make an effort to remove all the infected rocks. Would be tough as i have lots of corals on them. But since i have to rescape, I will make an effort to remove the infected rocks

Alright, just dosed a few hours ago and can see the cloves already closing up. Quick question for you guys. Did any of you run your skimmer during treatment?
