Hello all,

I picked up this favia around 3 weeks ago and have noticed tissue reccesion over the last few days. it’s sitting Lower in my tank but direct light and pretty low flow. I know that corals can have a delayed reaction, do you think it could just be shocked from the system change? My specs have stayed relatively stable since arrival. All other corals are doing good. Is there any chance to save him??

I have one AI blade grow and a sicce voyager 3. Tank is 65g and running for 1 year

I would try putting it a different spot at this point. It’s almost dead. Not sure what is wrong with it but can’t hurt to move it and try a different perspective of lighting and flow. Mine likes medium light and lower flow.

I’m going to rent a par meter sooner or later but is the bottom of the tank considered low light even though it’s direct? Or would shaded areas be low

Low in the tank (farther from the light) is considered low light. Midway up the tank is considered medium light, and at the top of the rocks (closest to the light) is the high light area. Shaded area's are 'no light'

No, would this really kill it?
Your nutrients are on the low side. So my thoughts are it’s not getting enough food. I would try some target feeding. I find these types of lps prefer to eat in the evening. Try about an hour after lights out with some chopped frozen mysis.

I would definitely look into a par meter so you know where you are at with your light
