Feather Duster Sponge Hybrid?

I found this "thing" in my 29 gallon tank and I have no idea what it is. Anyone have a clue?

It almost looks like a sponge grew around a tube worm.

Mine has smoother sides than the sponges shown in those pictures but they do look very similar. Such weird looking sponges haha
