Hey guys, I haven’t been on here in a while. Kinda stopped cleaning and caring for my tank but want to get started again. Starting up again and what better than to ask you all. I’m thinking of getting a filter roller for my redsea 750 xxl, it’s a 200 gallon. And in the future I’d like to have more fish so nicely stocked. Does anyone recommend a filter roller? Also thinking of a GFO reactor with carbon. To replace both filter socks and the chemiblue pouches along with my carbon pouches. Suggestions guys? Thank you!

The RedSea 1200 Rollermat would work well. It’s made as a drop in replacement for your plumbing. I run the 500 and love it. So easy to change filter rolls and they last a while. It’s a game changer for ease of use and less every day maintenance.

I use the red sea roller matt. They are amazing my nitrates are down to 10-15and phosphates at a manageable .03-.05. My protein skimmer is barely pulling anything. I also do not have any GFO or carbon reactors. There is no need. I go through a roll every couple weeks with the feeding of my coral, but a small price to pay for such a great job of cleaning

RedSea has a great filter roller which fits in their tanks well. The largest model is the Reefmat and 1200. I use that on my Redsea 525. Highly recommended.
How many gallons is your tank?

I see you and another user use the redsea 1200 that’s the one I was looking at but was waiting because of the price. I’m glad you guys like it. What the roll micron? Are there options I didn’t see the rolls options and prices yet.

Did you have to cut the silicon to install? Is the install difficult?

Mine is the red sea 500. It is 200 micron and you can get 2 rolls for $25 after shipping. Very small price to pay to never deal with sock again. They are easy to install drain line from overflow goes right into the reef matt which made my tank super quiet
