So I just purchased my first colony of Symphyllia for my tank. I’m mostly going LPS in this tank other than maybe the top of one rock.

I don’t have any experience with them. Hoping some people have some tips for me on placement, lighting, flow, before it arrives next week.

Thanks!

Oh, in case you wanted to see it, here’s a shot from the website. My wife absolutely loves light pink, so I hope she’ll like this one! I haven’t seen too many this color before.

Bump! Anybody with experience with this coral species with tips on care?

I place mine on the bottom where they get moderate light and flow; have also seen them mounted and doing well at mid-tank level. They can be aggressive so give them at least 3" on their margins - almost lost a trachy to one.

I feed mine mysis and the other standard frozen food and they also readily take pellets imhe.

Good luck; you found a nice one
