Fish poop rocks!!!

Fish poop is awesome coral food. Maybe I am seeing things but my sailfin always pools right above this one purple acan I have. I have had the acan for over six months. Up untill a month ago it has always been a single head. Well now there are about 4 babies growing. Maybe its the fish or maybe it just took forever to grow either way I say it is the fish. Thank you Sally the Sailfin!

Not at all surprising to have an Acan take off if it's getting a good source of food suddenly, congrads though, you got a colony now!

You know...as weird as that sounds, I'm actually curious to try that- Maybe toss in a seaweed binder (forget what it's called, but it's an alternative to gelatin manufactured from seaweed) and see how my LPS's like it- I'd wager good money the Acans would munch on it...

That said my current chalice tank doesn't run a skimmer, so sort of doing that- but it also only has two tiny pipefish, so not much poop.

She must like the color purple. Maybe I will move the other acan frags over there so they all can take advantage of the feedings.

Has anyone read the thread SaraB linked? Short read, only 6 pages I went through it last night. Some pretty useful information there, even though it relates to SPS more than LPS.
