Been awhile...... Life, work.....etc. been pretty busy lately. Tax return money on its way and it's time to start "Operation sand storm"!

Saltwater is now made, 20 gallons. I'll start hopefully tomorrow evening after work syphoning the sand from the right front side of the tank. Small section at a time. Repeat this till the whole front is done. This will not upset the biological balance too much in the tank. Once my new sand arrives, I'll rinse it well to get the fines out of it and start dropping in small amounts through a PVC tube.

Going to look bare bottom for a while. Update soon.

Don't forget the progression pics. I don't have enough patience to slowly add sand down a PVC pipe, hats off to you!

Also, I apologize if I missed it, but are you removing the sand completely or replacing it with new sand?

New sand. Thinking Fiji pink aragonite.

It's that or special grade aragonite, or a mixture of the two.

I was thinking special grade for the 75, a mixture would probably be good to..I didn't mean to change your mind on you lol sorry

I vote special grade aragonite. I love that stuff!

I've used as well In the past, worked well. Just want a very clean, pure aragonite sand.

Not at all. Im still riding the fence on it. Probably 60-80% special grade and 40 - 20% Fiji pink.
