That was to cover the drilled hole and hold a piece of pvc for the reactor hose. It's from a frag rack I'm not using.

Water change done. Pumps cleaned and back in service. Jebao's been running now non stop for 4 years!

No sand removed, will do that later. Helped the wife clean up down in the basement. Going through old stuff we don't use and don't need.

Going to set down and order replacement diodes for the black boxes hopefully tonight after dinner.

Well I've decided to order my replacement diodes for my black boxes. Only looking at $72 dollars total. 165 diodes total. The bad thing is I have to order them from three different vendors in China from eBay. Still not bad.

Well I've decided to order my replacement diodes for my black boxes. Only looking at $72 dollars total. 155 diodes total. The bad thing is I have to order them from three different vendors in China from eBay. Still not bad.

Love it. Do it yourself! Buy a fish with what u saved, right? That's how I see it.

I do plan on doing a video on their replacement and posting it here. It will also detail the diodes chosen and their layout. Should be fun to do!

Well I tried Fritz blue box and since I've had some die off. Montipora digitata is effected. Stn. Nothing else effected. Running GAC and I have RO/DI water running with 30 gallons of the tried and true purple box!

Should have never switched!


It's the only thing that I changed except using Rods food herbivore blend because the LFS I shop was out. RO/DI cartridges are all good, changed them all two months ago with still 0 TDS out of them. Water tests all came out normal except my calcium is way up around 560! Also got some LRS reef frenzy and fed that tonight.

So no more Fritz for me and sticking to LRS food.

Crazy, switch salts and all hell breaks loose! Go figure!

Will do many more water changes over the next week.

Haven't opened the box yet, still using up the last of my IO/RC.

I have to be fair, though something in the salt may have triggered a stress event that is causing the STN. So changing back to IO may not fix this problem. I may have a bigger issue now. Fragging off the dieing tissue in a attempt to save some is the best course of action for now. Hopefully I can clean this up before it spreads.

Big water change day. Going to blow off everything in the DT and put the wave makers on "sweep" for a hour before changing out water.
