Looks pretty even, but you could crank it up a bit.
It’s better for sure. Might go up another 5% and see what happens. Left side is creating some whirlpools but hasn’t sucked air. Trying to aim the return nozzles in a way that will sort of counter the flow pattern for the LPS at the bottom.

4'x2'x2'
I run 4 mp40s, 2 on back wall of peninsula and 2 on the end. They run reefcrest most of the day at 95% with 2 periods where they are running on a gyre with the pumps alternating between pushing the flow clockwise and counterclockwise around the tank (kind of like a tidial change in the morning and afternoon).

Turn those bad boys up! You can easily max out the speed on those pumps and still be lacking in some areas in a 4' tank.
Beautiful tank! Teach us your secrets 🤣

Keep failing until you no longer fail lol.

Consistency is key. Especially maintaining solid numbers and limiting fluctuations. Flow and lighting is easy when compared to testing/dosing/waterchanges imo.

I don't think your going to get the flow needed with only 2 mp40s
Probably 4 is needed. The biggest problem is only 2 sources of flow. To create that random flow, 4 would be optimal. Then as they grow you wouldn't need to worry about flow being stopped by a colony.

Edit,
For LPS, as said, run the powerheads high and/ or put them near a rock to be shielded.

Yeah I think it will end up that way eventually. Either 2 more mp40s or place the mp40s on the back glass and put a couple maxspect’s on the ends

Should I keep these in AntiSync ?
Try it both ways, you may get better flow with them syncd. Will create that turbid zone in the middle.
That was sort of my thought behind that question. I’ll test it out. Decided to setup my first tank, a 15g nano so I can cycle it and put my hammers and frogspawn in there. Don’t want to sacrifice flow for their health.

What are your experiences with this? Wondering if anyone’s found a good way to utilize a similar setup to get proper flow to everything in the tank.
I was right where you’re at over the last month or two and have tried a few options. For now I’m happy with a new Jebao scp120 on one side and have moved both of my MP40’s to the opposing wall. Flow is great and chaotic. Corals seem happy.

This is what I do.
The only problem with that is I end up with a spot where everything collects under the central overflow. Some people see it as a problem and some people see it as a blessing. The stuff can be easily sucked up if you can reach back there.

Played with the flow and powerhead placement a lot yesterday, finally ended up where I want it to be I think. Mp40s at about 70% power and the other only running at 60% seems to have created a gentle enough flow where my Euphyllia is while providing enough even turbulent flow up top for the Acro’s. Now I just gotta hope my hammers/Goni’s can stand the 300 par they are getting.. so signs of stress so far though they look happy. For now atleast. Have a backup tank incase it starts going south. 🤞

Got to creep up on the light, 10% weekly or do 2% daily.

For sure, I did ramp it up with acclimation mode over maybe 7-10 days, was about a 20-30% increase, I think I’m just going to commit to these being where they are and send it, I mean I suppose if all goes well eventually the Acro’s will sort of shade them out a bit
