A very sad day. After a struggle of trying to keep it happy, my poor wall hammer contracted Brown Jelly Disease. I knew I should have kept that elegance coral instead. Let this be a lesson for me in the future.....

Update: They’re back!! After a successful treatment, I welcome Nemo and Luxo back home to a healthy, parasite-free aquarium! Let’s hope it stays that way! :)

Some brand new additions! A pain in the neck to get them where they are though. I had to go through a whole bottle of glue and it took a couple of hours to get a frogspawn where it is, but it should look nice when the corals open! The two frogs are each about the size of a golf ball, the closed up leather is a long polyp green toadstool, and you can consider the firework cloves a second shot at clove polyps! The zoas were a large frag when I bought them but it kinda fell apart when I tried removing the bunch from the plug. So I glued them to an old snail shell. The tank looks really well and full now! I also sold another batch of Xenia to the lfs:

Lastly, the clowns are starting to host the torch coral! I’d typically be more excited, but I know how euphyllia don’t make the best host corals... We’ll see how the torch coral does though....

Torch is holding up really well! It’s now fully split into two enormous heads, and although it doesn’t like the clowns, it tolerates them. Thankfully, the clowns don’t fully host it just yet, but really only experiment with it. I’ve seen them also take interest in the Xenia and frogspawn, but something tells me that the torch will become their permanent home soon.

Rescape coming soon!! I've ordered some frag rubble in preparation for an aquascape overhaul. Not that I don't love my current tank design, but I feel like there's so many possibilities for coral placement that I need to take advantage of! I'll update the progress on that soon.

Update: The rescape is just about complete. I’m really pleased with the results, and it really brings out more room for corals.

Also, I went to the lfs, and got two beautiful frags, thanks to a good sale:

I remember talking in another thread with you prior to your rescaping. Looks great!

My Aussie torch has been doing poorly since the rescape, and today it finally gave out, and succumbed to Brown Jelly Disease. It’s in QT, but I doubt it will survive. I’m going to likely treat the tank so that my other euphyllia and lps don’t die as well.

Update: the torch is recovering thanks to some hydrogen peroxide dips I’ve been doing. Iodine should come in the mail soon so I’ll use that when I get it on hand. So far, things are looking promising!
