Ghostbuster's Paradise

I have a Cherry Bomb Tenuis like this, but certainly not that colorful… Just how is this accomplished?

Don’t get me wrong, my CB Tenuis is very healthy and polyp extension is outstanding. Sitting at 250-300 par mostly for about 8-hours a day:

My tank has been balanced, nutrient-wise, for about four months now. Corals, including acros are doing good.

I’m thinking of getting into the Captiv8 regimen next month or so. For now, watching ReefBum’s interview with Chris Wood

This Tenuis is doing fantastic at about 400-440 par for 8 hours a day:

So, I guess this answers my previous question about how the colors develop… more light. You could have a dull looking piece, but could turn extraordinary in the same conditions but more PAR

@InvaderJim , how’s things going? I’m writing as we’re about to experience another big cold front… maybe a lot of wind and rain, and/or power outage?
All good here. Tank seems to be bouncing back. I narrowed my issues down to some chemical warfare that included palytoxins being released into my tank which nuked most of the SPS.

I don't lose power out here too often but I do have my return hooked up to a battery so I'm prepared. I can do without this 30 degree weather though lol

Glad you got your reef under control. Yeah, freezing weather is unheard of here. I’m thankful that we’re pretty fortunate though, until next hurricane season at least

Yea I'm not a fan. Hopefully next years hurricane season is calmer than this one. That was stressful

Thanks! #3 looks like the old RR Sunburn to me

#4 I thought this one might be one of the Tenious acros that I got from BattleCorals but after a little digging through my pics this morning, turns out it’s Pirate’s Reef Trollsicle that I purchased at AquaShella in Feb 2022. I got a really good deal on it

Can I see a FTS?

The acros look great!

One really cool SPS coral is this Orange acro; it seems to be starting to take off, growing a lime-green branch lately

Nice colors on that acro!

Thank you for mentioning it’s your display. I would have guessed they were LFS pics based on the sharpies. lol

I’m just playing. Your tank is very nice. I didn’t know you had an 8 foot tank.
