Good morning. Ortho appointment this morning. Then working on cleaning the house again for the rest of the day. (Day two of cleaning) Got 5 of my husband’s college buddies coming for the 4th and will be here for 5 days. House hasn’t had a good cleaning since my surgery 4 1/2 months ago so it really needs it. Greetings! this is what i will say from now on when i look at the clock as i am trying to offer a good morning and i realize it is later than i thought.
i am stocking up on 'greetings' cause i'll use a lot of them. luckily the 'good morning's that i have on direct delivery do not take up much space if i don't use them promptly. enjoy the last day of June!!

You probably didn't adapt the system correctly.
Bring the halides to 3 hours a day for now and increase it very slowly one hour every 2 weeks, until 5 hours a day and leave it alone.
250W could be too strong for your tank for now.

New lighting setup for the little guys. I was wracking my brain on how to mount my fans (small aquarium cooling fans) to get some needed air movement. I ordered a set (2) satellite speaker stands that have adjustable height settings to mount the fans on. I’ll use one near the desk and one at the dining room area.
I hope the plants are as happy as I am with the new lighting setup.

I read through your posts a couple of times. The one thing that you did not mention is flow.

I didn't? Sorry I thought this was about flow. Maybe it isn't. I mean he read it a couple of times.

Both tanks have Vortechs for flow. I added 2 more MP 60s to the 240 and removed the smaller Tunze pumps thinking that was the problem. Flow is good in both tanks now.

Less flow. A reasonable idea. I will try it.
I have increased the photoperiod from 8 to 10 hours and Turned the flow down day and night from 80% to 60%. I have the 4 pumps in a pump group in Mobius and run Gyre mode in the day and nutrient transport at night.
