Hi so I have had this green branch hammer for a couple months still on a frag, I was about to glue it down but i changed the flow by not that much for some new coral i put in the tank and let it sit for a few days. After that i noticed one corners of the heads started coming of the branch so i turned the flow down and pit it back but even after that it stall keep on comming off. So i moved it up to a frag holder to get less flow and a few days later a few of the heads came off. I caught the heads and have them in a basket in my tank, I did just talk to my fish store and realized i wasn’t dosing with Iodine, but I still want to know why my green hammer started detaching and what to do with the heads. Also all my parameters were fine and still are during this time.

Looks more like you losing them . What are the water quality’s .

Dosing iodine is not necessary to keep hammer corals. I kept them for years without any dosing of iodine. They grew very well.
