Half & half Kole tang

Stress or disease? Eats well and not rubbing up on anything. Been in tank for a week, dropped in with a baby purple tang a few mins apart. Kole tang was first. Aggression from purple at first but not a constant thing. They swim and feed on nori together most of the time.

No, it was one color but not sure if it was more faded or darker. Hopefully this is color coming back, not going out. Just wanted to see if anyone else has seen a fish show such a distinct color fade line. It’s as if it applied sunblock to half its body.
