Okay so I have had this hammer coral for a little over a month. And I believe the outer layer of the skeleton is now folding into itself (picture below). I’m not sure if this is part of it splitting or is just from the direction of the flow it’s getting. I never get an opportunity to see the mouth so I can’t see if there’s two or just one still.

It use to be a straight line across where flesh meet skeleton but now you can see it’s folded upward.

Also if it’s splitting how long should it take to become two different heads?

how long is the split? I have a hammer that is starting to split and just curious. is it a week? a month?
Well mine hasn’t split yet but I had a period where I had low nutrients and it started to bleach. Has since come back to life growing tons of tissue but no split.

Generally 1-3 days to saplit but dependant upon light-water flow-nutrients
